Healthy Treats to Make for Valentine’s Day

Valentines day is coming up and temptations are around every corner, from decadent chocolates to candy hearts.  There always seems to be a reason or a season to indulge which can make reaching our health or weight-loss goals a challenge. Here at TLS, we equip you with the knowledge and tools to navigate a healthy lifestyle without depriving yourself. 

Show yourself some love this February with these guiltfree treats.  All of these recipes have been tried, tested and perfected by our TLS team.

 

1. TLS CHOCOLATE DELIGHT MOUSSE 

Dairy Option 

1 cup of plain full fat yogurt 

1 scoop TLS Chocolate Delight Nutrition shake 

1 tbsp dark cocoa powder 

1 – 2 tsp of stevia or monk fruit powder 

½ tsp vanilla extract 

  • Mix well & let sit in fridge for 3- 4 hours before serving

 

Dairy-free Option 

2 ripe avocados 

1 scoop of TLS Chocolate Delight Nutrition shake  

1 -2 tbsp dark cocao powder  

1/2 cup almond milk 

1 tsp vanilla extract 

Pinch of pink Himalayan salt or fine sea salt 

  • Put all the ingredients into a high-speed blender
  • Cool in the fridge for at least 1 hr
  • Garnish with hemp hearts or fresh strawberries & enjoy! 

 

2. DECADENT CHOCOLATE LAVA MUFFINS (makes 6 muffins) 

Preheat oven to 375 degrees 

2 scoops TLS Chocolate Delight Nutrition shake 

1- 2 tbsp of dark cocoa powder 

1 egg 

1 tbsp unsweetened apple sauce 

½ over ripe banana – mashed 

¼ tsp baking powder  

 

  • Mix and pour into greased muffin tin. 
  • Place down into the batter 4-5 dark chocolate chips into the center of each muffin 
  • Bake for 12 –15 minutes 
  • Serve when warm so chocolate center is gooey, fresh strawberries and a ¼ cup of our TLS Chocolate mousse 

 

3. TLS CHOCOLATE NICE-CREAM

1 cup crushed ice 

3/4 cup Almond Milk 

1/4 tsp vanilla extract 

1/2 frozen banana (pre-sliced then frozen) 

1/4 cup washed Cashews 

1 tbsp organic Almond or peanut butter 

  • Combine in blender, blend on slow 
  • As it is blending, add in 2 scoops of TLS chocolate nutrition shake & 2 tbsp of dark cocoa powder 
  • Once blended smooth – pour into container and let chill in freezer for 2 – 3 hours
  • Scoop out, garnish and enjoy! 

 

 4. TWISTED FRUIT SALAD (Serves 4-5) 

1 diced apple

4 –5 sliced strawberries 

1 sliced banana

Cut and peeled orange

½ cup Blueberries 

Or choose a colorful combination of 5 of your favorite fruits. 

Squeeze 1/2 fresh lemon

Mince up a thumb sized fresh ginger root 

  •  Toss the fruit, ginger and lemon juice in bowl 
  • Optional – serve with a side of your favorite plain full fat yogurt  

 

5. VANILLA-CRANBERRY BREAD (10 Servings)

1 cup of oats

1 cup of dried cranberries

¼ cup of whipped cream cheese

2 egg whites

¼ cup of almond milk

7 oz of apple sauce

2 tsp of coconut oil

2 tsp of vanilla extract

3 servings of TLS Nutrition Shake — Creamy Vanilla

  • Preheat oven to 325 F. Combine all the ingredients, and whisk them until
    smooth. Coat a bread pan with cooking spray. Pour in the batter and bake for
    30–35 minutes.
