Why We Love TLS ACTS

By: Sosan Hau, RD, CDE, TLS Director of Training

Stress is inevitable! When we are faced with stress, our bodies go into “fight or flight” response and release a hormone called cortisol.  When this hormone is elevated, it may cause a cascade of responses from increase of blood sugar, suppression of the immune system and more.  You might start to notice that your middle area starts to get bigger and you feel even more defeated.  Although eating low Glycemic impact eating and exercise are helpful but it can be challenging when you already feel exhausted and lack motivation.  This is when taking adaptogenic herbs can be very supportive.  Imagine a set of helping hands supporting you so you can adapt to the stress effectively.  Adaptogenic herbs like Holy Basil and Ashwagandha work specifically to promote healthy cortisol levels to help control stress and minimize weight gain esp. belly fat.

There are many adaptogenic herbs supplement in the market, but the key is the synergistic blend of different herbs and use of trademarked ingredients such Sensoril® Trim Ashwangandha root and Bacopin® that put TLS ACTS superior in its class.  In addition to the 2 trademarked ingredients, TLS ACTS has an impressive combination of holy basil, passion flower extract, rhodiola rosea root, iodine (for promoting normal thyroid function), eleuthero root and my favourite L-theanine.  L-theanine is an amino acid found in green tea which helps to promote calming effects.  This combination of synergistic blend helps to reduce stress placed on the adrenals to perform (helping with adrenal fatigue), helps to stabilize emotional responses to stress and helps to promote healthy levels of cortisol.

So next time when you are about to reach for a tub of ice cream to make you “feel better,” consider taking TLS ACTS to not only help enhance your mood but may help minimize certain stress related issues such as weight gain.
