Recipe: Matcha Green Tea Protein Shake

Matcha is a very popular ingredient in countries around the globe! It has a number of uses and can be used in almost all types of food from drinks, to desserts, to baked goods! If you love this global favorite, we’ve got good news! How about a TLS-approved Matcha Protein Shake?

Matcha is simply powdered green tea leaves, and we all know that green tea is a good source of antioxidants. It can also promote cardiovascular health and support weight loss¹. This TLS Shake recipe is not only tasty but packs some great health benefits as well with 18g protein, 10g fiber, and more than 20 different minerals and vitamins!

Serves: Makes 1 serving

Prep Time: 5 mins


  • 2 scoops of TLS Shake—Vanilla
  • 1 cup of water or non-dairy milk
  • 2 tsp of green tea matcha powder
  • ½ frozen banana
  • Ice (Optional)


  • In a bowl, pour in 2 Tbsp of warm water or non-dairy milk
  • Add in green tea powder
  • Mix until powders dissolve completely
  • In a blender, mix all ingredients until smooth.
  • Serve immediately or chill in refrigerator before serving.

You can top this recipe with slivered almonds, pistachios, or shredded unsweetened coconut for a little crunch and some added healthy fats. The options are endless when it comes to customizing your TLS Shakes!
