For example, you don’t need to be obsessed with calorie counting. But, we do want you to understand how calorie intake effects weight control and energy. Take time to learn the nutrients that your body needs and try to eat whole foods the majority of the time.
- Meal Times – Is it better to eat 3 meals a day or grazing 5 – 6 times per day? That depends on your lifestyle! Maybe you burn more calories than others or you simply cannot eat 6 times a day due to job restraints. The key to not overeating is to not eat every time you are slightly hungry. If you are unsure if you are really hungry, give it 15 minutes and ask yourself again.
- Stay Hydrated – Up to 60% of the human body is water, kind of a big deal! Being that we are made of water, it’s no secret that drinking plenty of water is beneficial to us. Some of the big benefits of water consumption is flushing out waste from our bodies, regulating our body temperature and aids in digestion and weight loss.
- Physical Activity – Along with the correct nutrition, physical activity is beneficial to everyone! Aside from benefits such as controlling weight and strengthening muscles, getting active has other long-term benefits. It can prevent you from developing certain diseases and reducing stress as well.
It’s also important to be aware of your alcohol intake. It’s suggested to only have 1 drink of pure alcohol per day. By adopting healthy habits in your life, you are likely to continue these habits long-term. Ditch the diet and choose a healthy lifestyle!
