Today, a 30 year old woman and mother of 2 died today. The cause of death, her family says, was her 2.5 gallon a day addiction to Coca Cola. To top it off, her family also reports she smoked 30 cigarettes a day. Excessive? We thought so too. However, she isn’t the only one around with a soda habit.
For many of us, saying “No” to Soda is incredibly hard. Whether it’s just convieniently in all vending machines and drink fountains, or if you absolutely can’t get through your day without a kick of caffine, you wouldn’t be alone. The CDC reports 50% of Americas drink soda daily, and the poor recieve approximately 10% of their daily calories from soda.
Regular intake of soda has some very severe health problems attached. Loaded with unnecessary amounts of high fructose corn syrup and acids, soda links increased risk of obesity, diabetes, osteoporosis, kidney stones, heart disease, tooth decay, and even asthma, is it really worth it? Not when your health is at stake.
What do you drink instead of soda?
